Coal companies from all over the region came out to the 22nd Biennial Bluefield Coal Show.
It was all about coal in Bluefield for the 22nd Biennial Coal show. Hundreds of mining companies from across the region came to the Brushfork Armory to show off their latest and greatest technologies.
According to President and CEO of the Greater Bluefield Chamber of Commerce, Joshua Cline, there are twenty new companies at the show this year. Cline said this is a great way for these companies to grow their businesses and learn about the newest advancements in coal mining.
"It's the back bone of the economy for so long in our area, that it's important to have these trade shows so that technological updates, new product offerings, and things like that can be shown to each company. And it also provides a great networking environment so that folks can get to know each other and do business," Cline said.
The coal show began Wednesday, September 13th, and runs through Friday, September 15th.
