Raleigh County Sheriff's Deputies released the identity of the victim killed in a head-on collision on Route 3 on Tuesday. It happened near Muncheez Bar and Grill. Pamela Brown, 41, was a passenger in one of the cars and was killed. The driver of the car she was in was treated and taken to the hospital.

RALEIGH COUNTY, W. Va. (WVNS) -- Raleigh County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a second fatal crash along Route 3 within a 24 hour time span. 

The second fatal accident happened Tuesday morning near the Circleview Drive entrance just before Muncheez Bar and Grill. 

According to deputies, a driver in a Dodge Dart was traveling West when they crossed the center line in a curve, hitting another car head-on. 

The passenger of the second car was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver, who was seriously hurt, was taken to the hospital, deputies said. 

The driver of the Dodge Dart had minor injuries and was also taken to a local hospital. 

Deputies said a third car was also involved. That driver also sustained minor injures. 

Raleigh County Deputies are still investigating the crash. At this hour, no criminal charges have been filed and no names have been released.

RALEIGH COUNTY, W. Va (WVNS) -- A portion of Route 3 is back open after a car crash early Tuesday morning.

Dispatchers tell 59News the crash happened on Route 3 near the Dollar General and Muncheez.

Three people with unknown injuries were taken to the hospital.

The road was closed for several hours but has since re-opened.

The Raleigh County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
