BOONE COUNTY, W. Va. (WVNS) -- Sheriff's deputies in Boone County have arrested two men in connection with a deputy-involved shooting early Monday morning.

Eighteen-year-old Lucas Watson and an unidentified 17-year-old juvenile are charged with attempted malicious assault and attempted breaking and entering. 

Around 2:30 Monday morning, deputies responded to a call where they found the two attempting to break into the K & E Exxon Station near Danville. 

Deputies said they were nearly hit by a vehicle driven by Watson and the juvenile. Deputies then opened fire. 

No one was hurt.  The two were arrested in Lincoln County and are in jail.

BOONE COUNTY, W. Va.  (WVNS) — Boone County Deputies are searching the Ramsey Road and Hopkins Road areas of Danville for two suspects who they say tried to run over their officers.

Deputies said the suspects are believed to be in the wooded area west of US 119.

According to a release, deputies interrupted a breaking and entering in progress at the K & E Exxon. They said one of the suspects tried to run over two officers with their vehicle before running off. 

Dispatchers said deputies fired back at the suspects. It's unknown if the suspects are armed but they should be considered dangerous. 

Deputies ask if you live in the area to remain vigilant and report any suspicious persons to 911 immediately.

Multiple law enforcement officers are currently on the scene.
