Showing cattle in competitions isn't as easy as it may seem. In fact, preparing the cattle for show is a daily task. Olivia McHale is one of many competitors this year and she knows exactly what it takes to impress the judges.
"It's an everyday thing. It's not just the night before a show you relax. It's everyday you're working to prepare for a show," said McHale.
Olivia has been showing cows since she was just five years old. She has also won Grand Champion once in 2011 and Reserve Champion three times. She also travels all over to compete. Olivia says winning at the fair is one of the best feelings ever.
"It's something you work for so long and then it's so rewarding. It's like all of my hard work has paid off," said McHale.
Livestock competitions are one of the many things you can do at the State Fair.
