Mother and Daughter arrested on Embezzlement charges

Two women  from Bluefield are facing embezzlement charges after allegedly taking more than $1 Million from a local business.  Roseanna Coomes and her daughter, Jessica Johnson, are accused of taking the money from Cole Truck Parts on Bluefield Ave.  The money was taken over a 10 year period.

Coomes and Johnson were arrested and arraigned on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017.  A preliminary hearing was scheduled and the case was sent to the October term of the Mercer County grand jury.  Coomes was released on a $25,000 bond.  Johnson's bond was set at $10,000.  Both women were instructed not to leave Mercer County as a condition of their release.
