Flood Relief: Helping Our Neighbors fundraiser on June 30, 2016

Posted: Updated:

WVNS-TV 59News is leading the way with coverage of the flooding which has devastated communities across southern West Virginia.  Those efforts continue with our Flood Relief: Helping Our Neighbors fundraising drive on Thursday, June 30, 2016.  Our crews will be out all day at Beckley Crossing and Stafford Drive in Princeton collecting money to help those who have lost everything. Please join us starting from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at either location and show your support for our neighbors in Greenbrier, Fayette and Nichols counties. 100% of the money collected will go directly to relief efforts here locally. We will be doing live cut-in coverage every half hour all day as well as in all newscasts. WJLS radio is also heavily promoting this event.

We are working with our partners at the United Way of Southern West Virginia, WJLS 99.5 The Big Dawg, the American Red Cross and the Beckley and Princeton Fire Departments.

We will also be accepting checks made out to the United Way of Southern West Virginia or the Red Cross. Those can be mailed to:
