Princeton Football preview: One team one goal

Posted: Updated:
This is Randy Peeks 3rd season with the Princeton Tigers.  They went 6-4 a year ago and were one of those bubble teams that fell just short of the playoffs.

They're a young team that lost 17 seniors to graduation but they return some skill players in quarterback Jay Palmer and also some running backs.

As a bonus, they still have a few of their interior lineman.  This year the goal is unanimous among coaches and players.  Make it to the post season.

"We're excited about it," said Peek about starting the season, "we're working hard to get to the playoffs, that's our only goal is make the playoffs."

Palmer added, "we missed it by half a point and ever since then we've been making hard we do get into the playoffs and that's the only goal really for us."

The quest of the post season begins August 29th... Princeton will travel to Shady Spring in the battle of the Tigers.

The undefeated Oak Hill Red Devils (4-0) travel north to battle the also undefeated Fayetteville Pirates (4-0) on Friday September 22nd at 7:30 at Fletcher Arritt Stadium.  As if two undefeated rivals wasn't enough, the game is also Homecoming Night for Fayetteville High School.
