PikeView football preview: 3rd times a charm for Wyatt

Posted: Updated:
This is head coach Bobby Wyatt's third year at the helm of Panther football and the program is slowly gaining momentum.

After a disappointing first year, PikeView finished 3-7 a year ago and are confident to at least break the .500 mark this time around.

With three starters from the offensive line coming back as well as a pair of running backs and three solid seniors, the team is full of weapons.

One position up in the air as of today, is the quarterback.  With three contenders, the decision has yet to be made who will lead  the team.

But overall, coach Wyatt is thinking third times a charm, while the players have their sights set high.

"This is the third year I've been with them," said Wyatt,  "They know me.  I know them and it's a matter of them starting to believe in themselves."

Junior Ethan Donley added, "I'm going to be very disappointed if we don't go to the playoffs, last year we went 3 and 7 but we've worked our butts off to be where we are right now and I think everyone will be surprised."

The Panthers first game is at home against Summers County on August 29th.
