Plea deal reached in 3-year-old copper theft case

 A case of copper stolen from an Appalachian Power facility in Stanaford, WV reached its conclusion for one of the men arrested in the case.  Timothy Harvey pleaded guilty to two counts of Grand Larceny.

In 2011, Harvey stole $2,000 worth of copper from the AEP facility on Dixie Land Drive.  Sheriff's Deputies were able to track Harvey and two other people down from descriptions of the car that was used in the crime.  Investigators pulled the car over in the Lanark area and found the stolen copper in the trunk.

Harvey was sentenced to serve two to 10 years in prison, but the judge suspended the sentence and gave Harvey 18 month probation.  He was also order to make restitution and will have to pay for random drug and alcohol testing.
