Surveillance picture of the person believed to have dropped a bomb threat note in the Mercer County courthouse.
Sheriff's deputies have reviewed surveillance video of the bomb threat at the Mercer County courthouse on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014. They caught the person who dropped the note on camera. Now they are asking for help from the public to identify the person.
Anyone with information on the incident or who knows who the suspected terrorist is should contact the Mercer County Sheriff's Office at 304-487-8364. Mercer County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a bomb threat at the courthouse in Princeton, WV on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014. Sheriff Don Meadows told 59News that a note was found threatening that there was a bomb in the building. As a precaution, the building was evacuated.
Meadows said it will remain closed for the rest of the day. The courthouse annex was closed down and evacuated at around 11 a.m. However it was reopened about 30 minutes later.
Law enforcement officers also shut down the road in front of the courthouse, but has since been reopened. Bomb dogs were brought in to search for explosives, but investigators said nothing was found.
