Former Shinnston Police Officer Sentenced for Taking Drugs from Evidence Locker

A former Shinnston Police officer was sentenced in court on Monday.

Charles Henning, III, was sentenced four to 16 years in prison after he was charged for possessing a controlled substance by fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department said that Henning was taking hydrocodone from bottles before putting it in the evidence locker.

Henning will be eligible for parole in four years.
