The trial date for former Bridgeport Best Care pharmacist Mario Blount and his two co-defendants has been rescheduled for December 1. Judge Irene Keeley granted the motion to continue at a status conference in Clarksburg federal court Monday.  Blount was indicted May 28 by a federal grand jury in Martinsburg on multiple charges, including conspiracy; distribution of oxycodone, a controlled substance and false or fraudulent material omission.

Angela Davis is named in the indictment for knowingly attempting to acquire oxycodone by fraud and mail it to her daughter, April Davis, in Marietta, Georgia.

Court documents indicate that the trio conspired together to distribute oxycodone and oxymorphone, among other substances, outside the scope of professional practice and not for legitimate medical purposes.  Count two of the indictments alleges Blount committed a similar offense, including intentionally distributing oxycodone outside the scope of professional practice.

Blount faces up to 20 years in prison on the conspiracy and distribution charges and up to 4 years for failing to report a prescription. Angela and April Davis each face up to 20 years in prison.

The trial was originally scheduled for August 4.  A final pretrial hearing is scheduled for November 14.  The December trial is expected to last about one week.
