FCA benefits from Greenbrier Classic 5K Run

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV - While golfers are hitting the links, runners are pounding the pavement around the Old White.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes partnered up with the Greenbrier Classic for the first annual Birdies for FCA 5K Run/Walk Monday.

The event benefits the FCA and their ministries in middle and high schools across the state.

West Virginia FCA's Keith Tyler said Monday's run is a hole-in-one.

"We're a sports specific ministry, so why not partner up with the PGA and The Greenbrier Classic," Tyler said. "The people that come out to support it, actually support the FCA athletes in middle and high school, as well as college athletes that we work with."

Nearly 100 runners and walkers participated in this year's first ever FCA run and walk at The Greenbrier.
