Freeman McKinney arrested on a First Degree Sex Abuse for an incident that happened in January 2014
On Monday, June 9, Troopers with the West Virginia State Police detachment in Wyoming County made an arrest in a sex abuse case.
Freeman McKinney, 47, of Stephenson, WV was pulled over on Route 54 in the Black Eagle area of Wyoming County. McKinney was riding an ATV on the road without a valid drivers license. His license had been revoked for driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to Wyoming County prosecuting attorney Michael Cochrane, McKinney was also wanted on a First Degree Sex Abuse charge from an incident that happened in Stephenson. The case involved a minor who was under 12-years-old. He has been on the run since January 2014.
McKinney is being held in the Southern Regional Jail. His bond is set at $20,000.
