A Huntington woman will spend three years in federal prison for allowing heroin to be stored, sold and used in her home.

Lindsey Alyn Thacker, 29, admitted she made six or seven trips to Detroit to get heroin or crack cocaine from an individual later identified as Zachary Merritt, U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin said. Merritt and others involved in the drug ring have pleaded guilty to heroin trafficking in heroin.

Thacker allowed Detroit drug dealers to store and sell heroin at her home on 1111th Avenue in Huntington for a year, and also allowed addicts to use heroin in her home.

In exchange for allowing the drug activity in her home, Goodwin said Thacker received heroin for her personal use.

Agents who searched Thacker's home found roughly .3 grams of heroin and over $1000.00 from drug sales.

The case is being prosecuted as part of an ongoing effort led by Goodwin's office to combat the illicit sale and misuse of prescription drugs and heroin.
