Beckley-Stratton Middle School saw lock down after shooting threat
The lock down at Beckley-Stratton Middle School has been lifted following threats of a shooting on Wednesday.
Beckley police responded to the school once they were alerted to the rumor by administrators.
After an investigation and student interviews, school administrators and Beckley police concluded the threat was unsubstantiated.
"We investigate the situation. From that investigation, county and school administration with Beckley Police determine if it's a substantiated threat or an unsubstantiated threat," said Principal Rachel Pauley.
Classes resumed their regular schedule at around 1:00 p.m.
