The rockslide on Route 3 near Sundial may have slowed down access to some communities in Raleigh County, but it will not stop the wheels of the election process.

The Raleigh County voters registration office has announced that a new polling place will be set up to accommodate those residents in Raleigh County who are isolated by the rockslide.  People in Precinct 63 typically vote at the new Marsh Fork Elementary school.  However, on Saturday, Feb. 8, they will vote at the Raleigh-Boone Technical Center.  That is in the old Pettus grade school building.

Polling booths will be set up in the gym.  The polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8.
