Slammed Business Prepares for Another Big Wave of Customers

More than 200 employees in three different locations across the valley are preparing to help residents and business owners not just through the cold weather, but also for what comes after.

Panhandle Cleaning and restoration started the year off with a bang as far as business goes due to the extreme temperatures. Marketing Vice President Josh Contreguerro said they've never experienced such a huge surge of water damage problems before.

"We've been in business for 37 years and servicing our customers. We haven't seen an influx of calls that dramatic in that short a period of time," said Contreguerro.

The crews at Panhandle have been busy working non-stop to restore damaged pipes in homes and businesses since the polar vortex hit weeks ago. Now, they're preparing for the extreme temperatures that are predicted to be back again next week.

"We've had trucks out 24 hours a day seven days a week. All of our employees worked hard during those two and a half weeks, now as you see we've got trucks. We're servicing our trucks, getting our equipment restaged for this next round," Contreguerro said.

But the number one goal of Panhandle Cleaning and restoration whether it's in a home or business, is to get back to a sense of normalcy as soon as possible. They remind everyone during these freezing temperatures to keep a faucet trickling if the pipe goes through an exterior wall.
