Oak Hill hires Jason Blankenship as new football coach, High School basketball highlights

---Oak Hill has named Jason Blankenship as it's new head football coach.---

This comes after the retirement of Eddie Souk who led the Red Devils to a 2 loss season and the second playoff berth since the school moved up to Class AAA.

Following in his footsteps is Blankenship who coached as defensive coordinator under Souk and is thrilled for the opportunity.

"It's really exciting, I went to Oak Hill High School, teach there, and to get back and be the head coach its really exciting for me and I look forward to working with the kids," said Blankenship.

He helped coach last seasons football team to the first round of the playoffs were the fell in an overtime heartbreaker to George Washington.

     Mark Montgomery has been coaching football since 1986. He held coaching positions at the high school and college levels as well as working with the middle school programs at Park and Independence. He coached and taught at Independence Middle School from 2003 to 2011.

     The Wyoming East Warriors got off to a rocky starting in 2016 losing five straight. Four of those teams went on to make playoffs. East finished the season winning three of their remaining five and that's the kind of momentum that carried them in to the off season.
