Three Concord University football players face drug charges
Three members of the Concord University football team appeared in Magistrate Court Friday.
Marrico Sanders, Russell Bailey and Riyahd Richardson face various charges including malicious wounding, petty larceny and conspiracy.
Richardson waived his right to a preliminary hearing. Sanders' and Bailey both waived their time periods for their preliminary hearings.
Assistant Prosecuting Attorney John McGinnis told 59News what happens next.
"The two that waived time limits today, their preliminary hearing will be reset. They will have those on another day. The third person that waived his preliminary hearing, that will proceed to the grand jury which is set for February," McGinnis said.
