Day 2 of Greenbrier Classic- highlights

Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson and 2012 Greenbrier Classic winner Ted Potter Junior tee'd off for their second round of the tournament Friday.
 
Potter Jr. faired the best in his group finishing -5 on the for the first two rounds. 
 
Phil Mickelson struggled Thursday and Friday was not much better for him, especially on hole 2 where he bogeyed.  He totaled +2 and did not make the cut for the tournament for the third year in a row.
 
Bubba Watson had some tough shots on hole 5, he had to hit it out of the rough, then chip it off the side of a hill.  He ended up parring that hole and finished his week -3.
 
Tommy Gainey was tied at first yesterday but dropped today, ending -7.

     The Wyoming East Warriors got off to a rocky starting in 2016 losing five straight. Four of those teams went on to make playoffs. East finished the season winning three of their remaining five and that's the kind of momentum that carried them in to the off season.

     The 2016 season was one for the Fayetteville High School record books. Not only did the football team finish the regular season with an undefeated record (10-0), but the basketball team followed right behind them with an unbeaten record of their own (24-0).  What's even more impressive is that the Pirates' football program only had about 24 kids on the team last year.
