Doubleheader at Linda K. Epling Stadium on Friday

Posted: Updated:

The West Virginia Miners will host a doubleheader at Linda K Epling Stadium on Friday night at 5:05 p.m. against the Chillicothe Paints.  The Miners had a slow start to the season with a record of 2-5 before going 5-2 in the last seven games.

Head coach Tim Epling is working with a fresh squad with no returning players from last year.  The players staggered in, but now with their roster fully intact, tonight is a night for the defending Prospect League Champions to find their identity for this season.

Friday's doubleheader is Faith and Family night, anyone with a church bulletin will get in free.  It's also Miners Appreciation Day and Friends of Coal night, so coal miners with a miner certificate will get free admission as well.
