Powerball Fever strikes southern West Virginia

Posted: Updated:

The Powerball Jackpot continues to grow. No one won Wednesday night's estimated jackpot of $360 million.  The next drawing will take place Saturday night.

Powerball has a $360 million jackpot for the Wednesday, May 15 drawing, and that is the third largest ever.

The cash payout of $229.2 million is the fifth largest for any U.S. lottery.  59News caught up with folks in southern West Virginia to find out what they would do with all of that cash.

"I would own Beckley if I won," said Trae Runion of Beckley. "I guess a lot of people would want some money if someone won around here."

"Oh, I would retire from my job right now and spend the money on doing things I want to do," said Charleston resident Jimmy Alexander.

Every other jackpot that has risen to this amount has been hit, so if no winner hits it big tonight then the record books better watch out.  Good luck and play responsibly.
