Road reopened in Fayette County following rockslide
Officials have announced that a road that was closed in Fayette County during the morning hours of Thursday, May 9 has reopened.
Dispatchers with the Fayette County 911 Center told 59News that a rockslide caused a road closure outside of Prince and Layland on Thursday. Firefighters with the Danese Fire Department and crews with the West Virginia Division of Highways were on the scene to clean up the mess. The road was reopened at around 9:10 a.m.
