Brush fires are on the rise across the Mountain State.
A hillside in Raleigh County went up in flames Wednesday around 6 p.m. off North Sandbranch Rd. in Bradley. Firefighters are still assessing how many acres were damaged.
Fire crews say the wind and extremely dry conditions are to blame. People are urged to use caution when burning anything outdoors.
The fire was contained around 9 p.m. on Wednesday night.
At least four other brush fires were reported on Wednesday.
