There's still a lot unknown about a deadly house fire in Greenbrier County.
One woman was killed. 59 News was in Hines Thursday where relatives are looking for answers. It was a sad day on Mill Creek Road as neighbors and family members shared their grief. Details are still unraveling now about how the fire started.
The victim is remembered by those who knew her as a woman who would go above and beyond for anyone.
"She was a nice old lady. She was sweet. She would have done anything for anybody that would ask," said Patricia Blake's nephew, Chris Adkins.
"It hit hard. It hit really hard. I couldn't even believe it," said neighbor Roger Brackenindge.
Investigators have yet to identify the woman who died, but all evidence seems to point towards the homeowner, Patricia Blake.
An autopsy from the State Medical Examiner will officially confirm the identity, but family members we spoke with are in shock and want to know what happened.
"You never know from one day to the next what will happen. She'll be missed. It'll be hard but she'll be missed. We'll get over it, with time," Brackenindge said.
State Police say they don't believe the fire is suspicious. The State Fire Marshall is investigating the cause.
