Sixteen middle schools in the mountain state have something new to sing about this year.
The V-H1 Save the Music Foundation is donating 30-thousand worth of instruments to 16 schools across the state.
We caught up with one of the schools that received the instruments to find out just how this will impact students.
"With the arts they can explore they can create that helps them be interested to come to school it helps attendance it helps the graduation rate. That is what one of our presenters said, arts help the performance of all of our students," Randy Adkins, Principal said.
Other schools who received in the grant in our area include, Bluefield Middle School, Mont View Middle School and Rainelle Middle School
The V-H1 Save the Music Foundation has put instruments in the hands of over 1.4 million students since the program has started.
