    The town of Rhodell voted Tuesday, June 13, 2017 on whether or not to dissolve or keep their town charter. The town voted 33-13 to dissolve the town's charter. That means they will no longer have a mayor or town council and will be governed by the county. This will be effective July 1, 2017. There will be a canvassing on Monday, June 19 at 9 a.m. to confirm the results.

    Don't be surprised if you hear more sniffling and sneezing when your out this month. The CDC reports October kicks off the flu season, and it won't end until May. But for those of you like the nasal version of the vaccine, that version of the vaccine will not be offered this year. The CDC says more than 90 million doses of the flu vaccine have been distributed, and pharmacists in our area say it's important to take advantage of the flu shot.
