     A required course students must take in high school is sex education, a course that teaches kids about the dangers of unprotected sex and how to stay safe. Health teacher Sarah Hunting-Stehlin says this is an important class for students to take.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The West Virginia School Building Authority's board has awarded $7.7 million to 13 school systems for improvement projects. The board provided funding for projects in Barbour, Berkeley, Cabell, Fayette, Grant, Mason, Mercer, Monongalia, Nicholas, Putnam, Randolph, Ritchie and Tyler counties on Monday.
